Designed for in-home use, the Dolphin System provides pressure redistribution by simulating the effects of a body immersed in a fluid medium.

FAQS
Both Emerg® Auto-Emersiontherapy™ and the Dolphin Fluid Immersion Simulation® System are immersion mattresses that simulate a fluid medium and automatically adjust to each patients’ pressure points. However, Emerg is manufactured by Ethos, while the Dolphin FIS System was created by Joerns Healthcare. Emerg offers features like Touchscreen TEC-Nology and side bolsters for stability, while the Dolphin FIS mattress replacement is compatible with a wider range of existing bed frames.
This support surface is designed for patients with spinal cord injuries and other mobility-limiting medical conditions with high risks for pressure injuries.
The Dolphin FIS System requires battery power to operate. However, it has a 12-hour battery life, which allows for continuous therapy during power outages.
