“Excited to be back!”
by Michael Boyce, Executive Sales Director
The 2021 ACMA Conference in Orlando was our first exhibiting opportunity since the pandemic started and we were so excited to be back in front of our customers face-to-face. Orlando is a great place to visit and our team had the good fortune to meet so many new faces and educate them about the innovative products and services Ethos Therapy Solutions offers for home care patients.
I arrived in Florida with Executive Director of Resolutions & Managed Care, Jason Baseil and we quickly got to work readying the exhibit booth. On opening day the floor became charged with excitement. We were thrilled at the opportunity to speak with so many motivated healthcare professionals who influence the care of patients across our country. There was a lot of energy in Orlando and Seth Kenerly, our North Florida Therapy Consultant, was eager to share just how engaged the attendees were while visiting our booth. “There is definitely a need for Ethos to exhibit the Clinitron® bed. So many case managers are unfamiliar with its (Clinitron) availability for use in the home care setting.” It was a great occasion to connect with care providers and build awareness to air fluidized therapy for patients struggling to heal the most severe pressure injuries.
In addition to the Clinitron bed, our booth showcased the Umano ‘med-surg’ bed frame with our industry leading immersion mattress. There was tremendous buzz about these advanced therapy products and their necessity in home health care. We listened as care professionals explained the struggles many other vendors have had procuring similar items since the start of the pandemic. It was invigorating to watch expressions change as we talked through solutions and opportunities to help so many patients. Our Therapy Consultant from South Florida, George Ucha, spoke with a number of case managers that were, to quote, ‘blown away’ that these type of products are placed in the home and funded by insurance companies. One case manager expressed how, “there is a definite need for a bed frame like this in the home, otherwise patients are unable to be positioned correctly and the caregivers are struggling to keep them safe.”
Jason, Seth, George and I are proud we could be a part of this year’s ACMA Annual Conference. During the week we met many case managers desperately seeking a better outcome for patients struggling to heal their wounds at home. As a specialized provider of wound therapy products Ethos knows OutcomesMatter® so we bring together quality, state of the art technology, one-on-one clinical expertise, and technical services when you need it and where you need it- in the home.
If you missed us at the ACMA Conference, look for us at the upcoming WOCN conference in Orlando this August 26-28th.
