Mattress Replacements
& Overlays
Delivering Care and Comfort to Our Patients
For patients with limited mobility, lying for long periods on a traditional mattress can create constant pressure on the same areas of the body. This results in several different complications ranging from joint pain and tissue damage to advanced pressure ulcers that are difficult to heal. Pressure redistribution technology, such as low air loss and alternating pressure therapy, offers a proven solution to these challenges. By changing pressure points and promoting blood flow, these surfaces protect patients who are at high risk for pressure sores.
Ethos Therapy Solutions offers high-quality pressure-relieving mattress surfaces that are available for in-home delivery and installation in several parts of the United States.
HELPING YOU PICK THE RIGHT PRODUCT

Wound healing is complicated, and the clinical care plan often requires careful planning. When selecting or transitioning therapeutic surfaces, several factors should be considered throughout the patient’s care:
- Patient Mobility
- Skin Assessment
- Site At Risk
- Patient Body Weight
- Caregiver Availability
- General Health and Comorbidities
Ethos Clinical Services works with the patient and care team to explore surface options most appropriate for the patient’s current wound status.
Therapeutic Mattress Replacements & Overlays
Mattress replacements and overlays are both pressure-reducing support surfaces, but they serve different purposes. Our team at Ethos Clinical Services can help you understand the differences and pick the best mattress solution for your needs.
Mattress Replacements
These Group II pressure-reducing mattresses are used in place of a standard hospital bed or home mattresses. They are designed to increase comfort and spread the patient’s weight over a larger surface area. These surfaces provide high levels of support for the head and body to relieve mounting stress on pressure points.

Mattress Overlays

These Group I & Group II pressure relief overlays are used on top of traditional hospital beds or home mattresses. Clinically proven to prevent and treat pressure injuries, these non-powered overlays offer adjustable cell pads filled with zoned air that conform to an individual’s shape to protect from soft tissue and deep tissue injuries.
